Juneteenth Black Rodeo

I was born and raised in Texas but I had never been to a rodeo until this weekend. As my son learns about animals & animal sounds I took him to the rodeo as a special treat. Of course every animal was a dog but it was fun.

Juneteenth celebrates the abolition of slavery in the United States. On June 19,1865 General Gordon announced that slaves were free in Galveston, Texas. So we had to celebrate in a Texas way.

Happy Juneteenth everyone, may you use your freedom to do more incredible things in history.
